Women with password phones are prostitutes – Lege Miami
Popular Nollywood actor and self-proclaimed relationship expert Adams Kehinde, popularly known as Lege Miami, has stirred major controversy after making inflammatory remarks about married women who lock their phones with passwords.
In a now-viral video posted to his Instagram handle on Tuesday, Lege declared that only men should be allowed to keep their phones private—and even cheat—while married women doing the same are “prostitutes” who should leave their homes immediately.
“A woman who is married and uses a password on her phone is a prostitute. She should pack her load and leave the house,” Lege said in the clip.
“So, because your husband has his phone passworded, you too want to put yours as well? You are not ready for marriage.”
Lege went on to double down on the double standard, insisting that men are allowed to cheat, but women are not if they want to be considered “good and responsible wives.”
His statements ignited a firestorm across social media platforms, particularly on Instagram, where users accused the actor of blatant sexism and hypocrisy.
Instagram user #theseunlawal slammed Lege’s remarks, writing:
“Shut up, broad mi, it’s vice versa, don’t give what you can’t take. Who gave men the license to cheat? If you can cheat, then she can do the same. Relationship expert isonu…”

While the majority of the reactions were critical, a few users took Lege’s remarks lightly, assuming he was joking.
#Bukkysuccessbeni commented:
“Lege u no serious. Okay, na water dey run for women body? Dey play.”
Meanwhile, #menduza poked fun at the contradiction in Lege’s brand, noting:
“Egbon ofo niyin ooo. Na u dey matchmaker, and you dey scatter am back.”
Despite the backlash, Lege has not issued a clarification or apology as of the time of reporting. Known for his controversial views on relationships, the actor’s statements have once again opened up conversations around gender bias, marital expectations, and double standards in Nigerian society.
