2023: Southwest PDP campaign group promise to mobilize over 2m votes for Atiku Abubarka
The Southwest chapter of the ‘Atiku My President’ campaign group has vowed to galvanize over 2 million votes for the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubarka in the 2023 general election , given his political pedigree and competence.
This forms the thrust of the press conference held at the Lagos PDP Secretariat on Friday to officially endorse Atiku Abubarka and to state their resolve for his presidency.
The Director General of the group Mr Toyeeb Owolabi while addressing newsmen note that Atiku Abubarka has the grasp of governance so well, given his well over 20 years of being in the Corridor of governance, which gives him ample opportunity to know precisely what to do to salvage Nigeria now.
According to him many of the problems Nigeria and Nigerians grapples with now are directly linked to bad government policies.
“As a zone we are mobilising at least 2 million votes for him because we believe in his competence and capacity to tackle the issues bedevilling our nation.
“Look around you you will see there are no middle class again, due to bad government policies, the level of insecurity is high.
“We have lost our esteemed position as Africa most preferred investment destination. If we don’t get it right our nation may just go into extinction.
“Alhaji Atiku Abubarka has been there before and the testimonies abound about his giant strides in the areas economic re-engineering, he has what it takes to get the giant of Africa-Nigeria back to its feet again.”
The Atiku My President General Secretary Architect Sodehinde Daniel was quick to add that Alhaji Atiku Abubarka understands the political terrain so well that he will fix the nations problems in a short while.
He added that accountability and transparency remains Atiku’s priority in governance and his election as president come 2023, will mean prosperity for Nigerians.
The groups Women Leader Omobabirin Ireti Adegoroye also spoke so glowingly about Atiku’s presidency, she notes that with him holding the reins of power, all the demographics segment of the nation will feel a sense of belonging.
Ireti added that the first wife of Atiku Abubarka is from the Southwest so voting him will translate to more goodies for the zone.
