Reuban Abati knocks Tinubu
During the Arise TV morning show, the Nigerian journalist and presenter, Reuben Abati, stated that the APC leadership has to be more creative when it comes to the marketing of their candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that they’ve only been repeating the same statements in their campaign rally.
While reacting to the Bayelsa Rally carried out by the APC on Thursday, Reuben Abati stated that they have nothing else to say as all they were saying was that Tinubu has done it in Lagos and he will do it in Nigeria, which according to him needs to be changed in a more creative way. Reuben Abati also slammed Timpreye Sylva, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources of Nigeria, for demarketing the other candidate without marketing his own.
According to him, “Just telling the people that flooding will not wash your papa homes away is like saying nothing. He says he would also industrialize Bayelsa State, how is he going to do that? It was the same message in the southeast. The whole of the Southeast will be industrialized. Chief Timpreye Sylva, who is a prominent APC chieftain, also spoke and spent some time attacking Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.”
“Well, people may say it’s a standard political practice to de-market the opposition. Is it not better to devote your energy to the marketing of your own candidate rather than demarketing others. All you hear is Asiwaju has done it in Lagos, he will do it in Nigeria. Can people get a bit more creative with their messaging methods.”
