Oruru: Yunusa arraigned in Bayelsa
Yinusa Dahiru, the Kano indigene who abducted Ese Oruru, 14, from Bayelsa last August is arraigned Tuesday at the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa.
The police has levelled against him a five-count charge of abduction, illicit sex and unlawful canal knowledge among others.
The victim, now five-month pregnant, was rescued last week, and reunited with her parents last Tuesday after spending six months as child bride.

Her release became necessary following an online media campaign hashtagged #Free Ese started by the Punch two weeks ago,
The campaign and uproar that followed prodded Kano Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to order the return of the girl, and initiated an investigation by the emirate Sharia Council.
Oruru had been held there, according to her parents, by Dahiru who allegedly converted her to Islam in order to consummate the marriage.
Notable Nigerians, including lawyer Femi Falana and Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka, have called for a drastic action to be taken against men forcing minors into marriage.
