Wife of late Edo Speaker regains freedom from her abductors
The wife of the late Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Mrs. Hassana Zakawanu, on Saturday regained freedom from her kidnappers. Family source disclosed that she was set free by her abductors few hours before the burial of her husband on Saturday evening, National Daily reports.
The family source of the Zakawanus confirmed that the late speaker’s wife was released without harm or payment of ransom. The family member expressed gratitude to God and sympathizers for their prayers.
The late Speaker Zakawanu Garuba was buried on Saturday evening.
