House ethics committee chaired named among Jibrin’s G-50
Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin on has released his latest bombshell, and you can almost predict the content—except that he listed among the corrupt reps House Ethics Committee Chairman Nicholas Ossai who investigated and indicted Jibrin for abusing House privileges.
Jibrin forwarded the list to the EFCC Thursday night, according to Premium Times, in fulfilment of his threat to name and shame 50 members of the House of Representatives who allegedly took illegal allowances.
The suspended honourable said he demanded a thorough investigation of the individuals as well as their prosecution.
On the list are Speaker Yakubu Dogara; his deputy, Yusuf Lasun; House Whip, Alhassan Doguwa; Minority Leader, Leo Ogor; Herman Hembe, chairman of House Committee on FCT and a Kaduna lawmaker, Adams Jagaba.
The roll call also included six members whose names did not feature in previous statements: Timothy Golu, Yunusa Abubakar, Mukaila Kazzim, Lynda Ikpeazu, Abdulrazak Namdas, and Nicholas Osai.
None of those listed has responded so far. And the whistleblower has yet to complete the list.
Jibrin was suspended last week after he refused to show up at the public hearing the House committee organised so he could present his evidence against the 12 who aided and abetted the padding of 2016 budget.
He gave his colleagues three days to return the N10 billion they had withdrawn as running cost in the last nine years.
