The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Hilda Harrison, disclosed this to National Daily at the signing of Peace Accord with political parties at the Officers’ Mess Akure, the state capital on Wednesday.
The Peace Accord was signed to ensure that there would be no violence before, during and after the forthcoming poll.

She said, “There will be no room for breakdown of law and order on the day of the election, I hope that a week to the election, over 24,000 policemen would be sent here to provide security.
“Tearing of posters should stop, we have received many information that some people are tearing the posters of other parties, we won’t allow this any longer. Nobody had the right to tear posters of another party.
“There must not be throwing of stones or other dangerous weapons at anybody during campaigns and rallies. We have to be law-abiding so that we can have peace during the election period.”
She urged members of political parties in the state to play the game according to the rule. She also implored members of the public to report any police officer caught involving in the act of rigging of the election
