Tension rises in PDP as Tinubu met Wike, Makinde, three other govs abroad
APC presidential candidate Bola Tnubu met with Rivers Gov Nyesom Wike and others in his faction of the PDP in London, and the meeting has heightened tension in the main opposition party.
The first time both governors reportedly met abroad was in France. But the two dismissed the reports.
However, the London meeting (some said France again) involved was wider, bringing the four governors who are loyal to to the Rivers helmsman.
Present at the meeting were Oyo Gov Seyi Makinde, Benue Gov. Samuel Ortom, Abia Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, and Enugu Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Since Wike lost his presidential bid, he has been open to almost all the political parties and their residential candidates seeking alliances.
And effort by the PDP and its candidate Atiku Abubakar to pacify Wike has failed.
