Atiku is a performer, ‘ll fix Nigeria’s economy – PDP group says
By Kingsley Chukwuka
A youth wing of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Plateau State has said if the Party’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar is voted into power, he will fix the county’s economy.
The youth wing under the aegis of Youth Unity Forum said on Thursday while addressing newsmen in Jos argued that Atiku has traversed all sectors of economy and will bring his experience to bear if elected.
Leader of the group, Mr. Fraps Stephen explained that another reason Atiku should be President is also based on the fact that his relatives, friends and associates cut across the bridges of the country.
According to him: “Atiku is a performer. He is not one that is going to learn on the job because he has been there as the vice president of Nigeria.
“As the vice president, he was the head of the economic team and we all saw what happened.
“During that time the dollar kept appreciating or at worse it was stable and things were normal and moving.
“It was even through Atiku’s effort that our debt was canceled,” he said.
Stephen called on every well meaning Nigerian to consider voting Atiku as the only way out of the present predicament.
He commended the forum’s patron, Sen. Jeremiah Useni for creating the enabling environment to promote the party’s candidate.
Elder Statesman, Amb. Yahaya Kwande who was at the event, commented on the youths for organizing themselves to support Atiku whom he said is someone that will unite Nigerians.
Kwande supported that Atiku is the only credible candidate with experience to lead Nigeria out of its challenges.
He encouraged the youths not to be deceived ahead of 2023 general elections but vote for all PDP candidates.
