Promote peace in your communities – Army boss charges women

Commander, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), and General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Ali, has advised Plateau women to promote peaceful co-existence in their communities.
Gen. Ali gave the charge at a peace advocacy meeting organised by Bassa Women for Peace and Unity Initiative held in Bassa LGA of Plateau State.
Represented by the Chief of Staff, OPSH, Brig.-Gen. Amos Egbejule, Ali commended the group for seeking peace, urging women to be peace ambassadors at all levels.
He advised mothers to instill the virtues of peace, tolerance and love in their children and husbands, pointing out that women play key roles toward the growth of every society.
Ali assured residents of Plateau and environs that OPSH would continue to use both kinetic and non-kinetic measures to promote lasting peace in Plateau.
The Commander dedicated the award given to him by the group to officers and men of OPSH.
“This award will spur us to be relentless and more committed to discharging our duties,” a statement signed by the Media officer OPSH, Capt James Oya said.
