Ayu, Tambuwal, Lamido hold urgent meeting with Bauchi Gov, Bala Mohammed after US trip
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu, on Saturday led a delegation of PDP leaders who include Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, the Director-General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, former Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, to hold an urgent closed doors meeting Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, on their return from the trip to the United States (US), where they spent one week with the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
At the end ofg the meeting in Bauchi, Ayu, PDP Chairman, disclosed that the meeting deliberated on some developments in the PDP relating to the preparations for the 2023 general elections.
Ayu has been under pressure to resign as PDP national chairman since the agitation of the PDP five governors led by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. others include Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Ayu’s kinsman; Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; beside other stakeholders.
