What we are asking for is inclusivity; not about presidential candidate – Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike has again, reiterated the condition for peace and unity in the Peoples Democratic Pastry (PDP) towards the 2023 general elections. Wike and his allies, Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Governor  Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, have insisted on the resignation of the PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and his replacement with a southern chairman. The resignation of the PDP Board of Trustees chairman, Jibrin Walid, did not pacify the PDP G5.

Governor Wike at a dinner on Sunday night at the new Banquet Hall of Benue State Government House, Makurdi, for the  G5 hosted by Ortom, spelt out the clear terms for reconciliation in the PDP. According to him, inclusivity is a precursor for peace and unity, noting that it will permit everybody to have an equal sense of stake both in the party and to work together for the desired electoral victory.

He said that the agitation is not about the presidential candidate or vice presidential candidate. These, he said, have been settled and there is nothing anybody can do about them.

Wike had declared; “Agreement is agreement. Respect agreement, so that there will be peace, there will be unity. What we are asking for is inclusivity; include everybody.

“We are not talking about presidential candidate. We have finished that one. We have a presidential candidate; we have a vice presidential candidate.

“But that one that will go to the other people, give them so that everybody will move forward. “That is what we are saying, nothing more.”
