Tweeps demand justice for lawyer killed by policeman
A lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, was shot dead by a policeman in the Ajah area of Lagos State on Sunday.
Her killing had caused outrage on social media as well as a demand for justice and prosecution of the culprits.
Already the Lagos State police command says it has arrested the policemen involved.
Skit maker, Mr Macaroni, tweeted, “A Nigerian Police Officer from Ajiwe division shot and killed Bolanle Raheem on Xmas day. It is from this same division an officer killed Gafaru Buraimoh about 2 weeks ago. This barbarism by the Nigerian Police must come to an end.
These murderers must pay for their crimes!!!”
A tweep, Babajide, said, “So sad to hear about the unfortunate incident of the killing of an innocent Nigerian, Bolanle Raheem, by an unscrupulous #PoliceNG officer of the Ajiwe Division. This is another sad event. Justice must be served.”
Tunde Ososanya said, “It’s sad that Barrister Bolanle Raheem met her untimely death at the hands of those employed to protect her life while returning from #ChristmasDay2022 worship. This madness must stop! The Nigeria Police Force needs to weed out these trigger-happy officers.”
Jane Doe mourning the deceased said, “This is sad, Christmas will never be the same for Bolanle Raheem’s family. I pray the lord comforts them.
The police officer that shot her should be charged with double homicide, because she was pregnant![]()
