How CBN Governor, Emefiele, rushed to Buhari at State House for defence
The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, last week rushed to the State House, Abuja, to defend himself before President Muhammadu Buhari over the numerous controversies in his office. The CBN governor was said to have briefed President Buhari to absolve himself from the controversies around him, including the activities of the CBN in recent time.
The CBN governor was said to have travelled overseas at a time there was speculation about plans to arrest him by the Department of State Service (DSS) on allegations terrorism financing, among others.
The DSS denied the reports.
