APC chieftain dumps party, expresses support for Peter Obi
A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former senator from Cross River state, Senator Mathew Tawo Mbu, Jr., has dumped his party and joined the Labour Party (LP).
Senator Mbu who was the unifier-in-chief of the crisis-ridden APC in the state and who was the architect of Governor Ben Ayade’s defection to APC confessed to be Obidient.
A statement by the Obi-Datti media signed by Diran Onifade quoted Senator Mbu as saying “I was “joining the Obidient movement because it’s becoming very obvious that they are the only ones who can restore the much-needed peace, unity, and progress In Nigeria.”

The distinguished Senator also believed that the Obidatti team is the only one that can restore a bright future for the Nigerian youths who are indeed the future of any and the Nation Rests on.
The statement further said, “Obi-Datti media notes that Senator Mbu is a big addition to the growing Obidient movement because he has a huge following, and members of his APC cadre are likely to come with him into the Obidient Fold.
“Obi-Datti, therefore, welcomes the distinguished Senator and calls on all other lovers of a new Nigeria to join in taking back Nigeria for the much-needed rebuilding.”
