Stray bullet reportedly kills a policeman during an exchange with suspected Yahoo boys
A yet-to-be identified police officer has died during a clash between some men of the Oyo State Police Command and some hoodlums in the Moniya area, Ibadan on Tuesday.
The deceased cop was said to have been shot dead during the scuffle. An eyewitness reports: “So, on Tuesday morning, the police were on their regular routine and they stopped a Lexus 350 suspected to be owned by yahoo boys along Iseyin – Ibadan road but the driver of the car didn’t halt.
They chased him with an unmarked green Micra vehicle until he got to Moniya market/garage close to the police station and they started arguing so during the argument, some bike-men interfered and a policeman shot his gun at them but unexpectedly it was another policeman the bullet hit.“
