Service Chiefs, IGP, explain security situation in Nigeria before Reps members
The service chiefs of the Nigerian Armed Forces, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), on Tuesday were at the House of Representatives, Abuja, to explain the security situation in the country before the federal lawmakers.
The service chiefs present at the National Assembly on Tuesday include General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS); Lieutenant-General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff (COAS); Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff (CAS); Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS); as well as IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector General of Police.

Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff, was said to have demanded the National Assembly support enhancing surveillance on the backwaters, creeks, and other areas behind the coastline, in order properly monitor crude oil theft, pipeline vandalisation, and illegal refining in the region.
IGP Kayode Egbetokun was also said to have acquainted the Reps members with the challenges of poor logistics, insufficient patrol vehicles for police divisions, inadequate training, and poor welfare of personnel.
