Saraki pays condolence visit to family of Ghali Na’abba
Former President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has paid condolence visit to the family of late Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na’abba, who he said was a courageous and eloquent defender of democracy in Nigeria.
Saraki in a statement declared:
@bukolasaraki
“The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, late Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na’abba, was a courageous and eloquent defender of our nation’s democracy.
“During his time as the presiding officer of the Green Chamber, he advocated for the independence of the legislature at a time when it was most needed.
“This is why today, I paid a condolence visit to his family to honour his legacy and express my deepest sympathies for their loss.
“As we mourn this brilliant statesman, it is my heartfelt prayer that his family find solace and comfort in this difficult time, and may Almighty Allah (SWT) grant him a place in Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen.”
