Gunmen invade palace, kill Taraba monarch
The traditional ruler of Sansani chiefdom in Gassol local government area of Taraba state, Alhaji Abdulmutalib Jankada, has been shot dead by gunmen inside his palace.
Sources in the town disclosed that the assailants stormed Sensani village at about 9pm on Thursday and headed straight to the palace of the traditional ruler where they murdered Nuhu at his residence located a few kilometres from Ibbi.

The late traditional ruler is set to be buried after Friday prayers, according to Islamic rites.
But, as at the time of filing this report, Police in the state were yet to issue any statement concerning the incident.
