Writers greet Wole Soyinka @ 90
The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW Global) has congratulated Nobel Prize Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, on the momentous occasion of his 90th birthday.
SYNW Global, in a statement by the President, Wole Adedoyin, expressed profound admiration and gratitude for Soyinka’s indelible contributions to literature, human rights, and cultural heritage.
Adedoyin high;lighted, “Soyinka’s literary journey has been a beacon of inspiration for countless writers and intellectuals across the globe. The Society of Young Nigerian Writers, established to nurture and promote the talents of emerging writers, conceived Prof. Soyinka as a paragon of excellence.
“His achievements serve as a reminder of the power of the written word to effect change and provoke thought,” Adedoyin noted, emphasizing that Soyinka’s life and work are a testament to the enduring impact of literature on society.
