Chelsea eyes European return against Swiss side Servette
Chelsea, a powerhouse in European football, returns to continental competition after a one-year absence.
The Blues face Swiss side Servette in a two-leg playoff to secure a spot in the UEFA Conference League group stage.
The first leg of the tie takes place at Stamford Bridge tonight, with Chelsea aiming to build a strong advantage before the return leg in Geneva next week.
The Blues have a strong home record in European matches, with only two defeats in their last 15 games at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, will be making his European debut for the club.

Maresca, who played a key role in Manchester City’s Champions League triumph last season, is eager to lead Chelsea to success in European competition.
While Chelsea will be without a few key players, including Reece James and Wesley Fofana, they have a strong squad and are determined to make a positive impression in the Conference League.
Chelsea hold the highest UEFA coefficient (79.00) of any club left in the Conference League, far ahead of Servette’s ranking of 139th (9.00).
