Minister Idris Represents Nigeria at Indonesia-Africa Forum
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, is currently representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum.
The event, which began on Sunday, September 1, 2024, and will conclude on September 3, is focused on strengthening the relationship between Indonesia and Africa.
The theme of the forum, “Bandung Spirit for Africa’s Agenda 2023,” aims to deepen the synergy between Indonesia’s Vision 2045 and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
Minister Idris is expected to play a key role in strengthening bilateral ties between Nigeria and Indonesia, showcasing Nigeria’s investment opportunities, and advocating for Nigerian businesses to participate actively in the Indonesian economy.

“I look forward to representing His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the government and people of Nigeria at the Second Indonesia Africa Forum,” Minister Idris said. “I hope this forum will be another memorable milestone in strengthening the bonds between Indonesia, Nigeria, and Africa.”
Nigeria and Indonesia have a strong relationship, with Indonesia designating Nigeria as its African investment destination from 2022 to 2026.
The volume of trade between the two countries has increased significantly in recent years, reaching USD 6 billion in 2023.
Indonesia has also supported Nigeria by donating vaccines and other aid.
