Israeli Military releases video of Gaza Tunnel with hostage bodies
n a somber revelation, the Israeli military has released video footage of a tunnel in the Gaza Strip where the bodies of six hostages were discovered. The video, presented by Israel Defense Forces Spokesman Daniel Hagari, shows a narrow, poorly ventilated passageway buried 20 meters underground beneath a residential home in Rafah.
The Israeli military has unveiled video footage showing a tunnel in the Gaza Strip where the bodies of six hostages, reportedly killed by Hamas, were discovered.
During a news conference, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesman Daniel Hagari presented the footage after an inspection of the tunnel.
The video depicts a cramped, low-ceilinged tunnel buried 20 meters underground, with poor ventilation.
The tunnel is accessible through a concealed shaft in a residential home in Rafah, southern Gaza.
Hagari described the tunnel’s conditions as “extremely humid” with “no air to breathe.”
Inside the tunnel, the footage shows a chessboard, hairbrush, USB chargers, a Kalashnikov rifle with ammunition, and flashlights.
Blood stains were also visible on the ground.
Hagari claimed that the six hostages—two women and four men—were killed by Hamas militants a day before their bodies were recovered on August 31.

He confirmed that all evidence from the tunnel is being collected for investigation, and efforts are underway to track down those responsible.
The discovery has intensified calls within Israel for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to secure the release of the remaining hostages. Following a surprise attack on October 7, 2023, Hamas initially took around 250 hostages.
Currently, 101 are still in captivity, with many feared dead.
