“The IDF struck an area in Sidon and eliminated the terrorist Khalid Ahmad Ahmad, who served as the head of operations in Hamas’ Western Brigade in Lebanon,’’
The Israeli military announced on Wednesday that it had killed a Hamas commander in southern Lebanon in a targeted drone attack.

“The IDF struck an area in Sidon and eliminated the terrorist Khalid Ahmad Ahmad, who served as the head of operations in Hamas’ Western Brigade in Lebanon,’’ the military said.
The Israeli military further alleged that the targeted Hamas operative was involved in smuggling weapons and orchestrating terrorist attacks against Israel.
A fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, the Hamas-allied militia in Lebanon, has been in effect since late November.
However, both sides have frequently accused each other of violating the terms of the truce.
Despite the ongoing ceasefire, Israel has maintained its stance of reserving the right to conduct attacks on militia targets within Lebanese territory
