How presidency debunked latest rumour about Buhari’s condition in UK
A week after Nigeria’s Presidet Muhammadu Buhari travelled back to the UK to take care if his worsening health, rumours were out Sunday some bad things had happened to him.
His spokesperson Garba Shehu has however clarified on last night that Buhari is alive and well.
In a series of tweets , Shehu asked Nigerians to ignore rumours to the contrary.
“Baseless rumors are trending again that an unpleasant thing has happened to our beloved President, Muhammadu Buhari,” Mr. Shehu said.
“If you have received this information on WhatsApp or Facebook, disregard it bcos it is plain lies spread by vested interests to create panic.
“Nothing unpleasant has happened to the President. No cause for apprehension. Thanks for the many calls.”
This is the fourth time Buhari will be flying out on medical emergency, handing over power to V.P. Yemi Osinbajo as acting president.
