There was a saying I frequently heard while in school: “Any business that does not embrace modern technology will soon become outdated and irrelevant.” At the time, it sounded true, but I was confident that day would never come. Yet, here we are.

With the invention of AIs and other technologies, the playing field has changed drastically, and elements that once held great significance are quickly losing their relevance.

Let me dive right in: there are AI tools like ChatGPT, Google Bard, and Copilot that now write better than some of the most creative human writers. It was once a lucrative field, but now apps are being developed that make designing as easy as taking a picture. I may exaggerate a little, but at the current pace of technological advancement, this prediction might not be far off.

Don’t get me wrong, AIs provide immense benefits to writers and professionals across various fields, but their rise also brings significant challenges, especially for those who haven’t adapted to this technological shift.

Recently, I interacted with an AI, asking it the most odd and personal questions. I found its responses to be gentle, insightful, and productive. I’m still trying to figure out what role AIs will play in my future work, but one thing is clear: they’re here to stay.
