Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, has announced the launch of a first-class cabin for its Lagos–London route, marking a significant step in its bid to compete with global carriers.
The new premium offering, set to commence on November 11, 2024, boasts an array of exclusive services aimed at providing passengers with a luxurious experience. Fares for the first-class cabin start at £4,495, underscoring the airline’s commitment to offering top-tier services.
Passengers in the new first-class cabin will enjoy a generous baggage allowance, including three checked bags of up to 32 kg each and a 14 kg cabin bag.
The premium experience begins even before boarding, with access to exclusive first-class lounges at both the Lagos and London terminals. This enhancement is designed to set the tone for a seamless and comfortable journey.
In-flight, Air Peace will cater to the refined tastes of its premium customers with a curated selection of meals and drinks, designed to match the high standards expected in first-class travel.
Moreover, first-class ticket holders will benefit from unlimited date and time changes at no additional charge, providing flexibility that caters to the needs of business and leisure travelers alike.

The addition of the first-class cabin reflects Air Peace’s broader strategy to elevate its international offerings and solidify its presence in the competitive transatlantic travel market. The airline hopes to attract discerning travelers who prioritize comfort, luxury, and adaptability in their travel plans.
In a related development, Air Peace addressed rumors circulating online about a purported 100% hike in domestic flight fares. Reports claimed that the airline was planning steep fare increases across all booking classes starting November 1, 2024, and cited an alleged internal memo to support these claims.
Air Peace took to its official X (formerly Twitter) account to refute these rumors, labeling them as false. The airline emphasized that it had not issued any official statement regarding a fare increase for domestic flights and urged passengers to rely only on verified sources, such as its website and social media pages, for accurate information.
“Passengers are encouraged to trust only our official communications for updates on pricing,” the airline stated, reinforcing its dedication to transparency and customer trust. Air Peace reassured its customers that any future adjustments to fares would be clearly communicated through its formal channels.
This move to clarify its position comes as Air Peace continues to focus on enhancing its service offerings, including the introduction of its first-class cabin on the Lagos-London route, while maintaining clear communication to foster customer confidence and loyalty.
