Oyo APC governorship candidate Sharafadeen Alli donates N25m to Bode market victims
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has donated N25 million to traders affected by the recent incident at Bode Market in Ibadan.
Senator Alli announced the donation during a sympathy visit to the market, where he met with victims and traders who suffered losses as a result of the incident.
He was received by the market leadership, including the Babaloja, Salau Oloya, and the Iyaloja, Sikira Alaja, who welcomed the APC flagbearer and his delegation.
Addressing the traders, Alli expressed sympathy with those affected and assured them that the APC would continue to identify with the people during periods of hardship.
He said the party remained committed to supporting citizens in difficult times and pledged that responsive and people-centred leadership would remain a priority if elected.

According to the governorship candidate, leadership should extend beyond political campaigns and speeches to include practical interventions that provide relief to citizens facing challenges.
He added that the APC was determined to restore hope to the people of Oyo State through responsible governance and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
The N25 million donations is expected to assist affected traders in rebuilding their businesses and recovering from losses incurred during the incident.
In a separate gesture, the Oyo APC State Women Leader, Dr. Adekemi Opatunde, donated ₦5 million and 15,000 nose masks to support the victims and promote safety within the market.
Her donation was welcomed by traders, particularly women, who described the intervention as timely and supportive.
The donations come as efforts continue to assist traders affected by the incident and restore normal commercial activities at the popular Ibadan market.
