Security operatives in Delta State have rescued a young woman who was allegedly deceived by individuals she met online, robbed of her valuables, and abandoned in a forest after being tied to a tree.

The incident, which gained widespread attention on Monday following the circulation of a viral video, reportedly occurred in Delta State.

The victim, who identified herself as Anthonia Ovarayi, narrated that she was lured from her base in Ughelli to Warri by men she had connected with on social media.

According to her account, what was initially presented as a friendly visit quickly turned into a traumatic ordeal. She alleged that upon arriving in Warri, the suspects took her to a forested area where they dispossessed her of her personal belongings.
