Abba Kyari death: What it means to die on Friday, in a pandemic
The Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, Abba Kyari is dead. The sad news was tweeted by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity to the President.
Engr Yasir Arafat Jubril explained what it means to have passed on the way he did, “Abba kyari died a mu’meen, ‘He died a martyr (shaheedi) death from a pandemic. He also died on a Friday, I think we all know the bonus that comes with these. What a beautiful way to die. May Allah accept his shahada, forgive his shortcomings and grant him jannatul Firdaus”.
Abba Kyari contracted the deadly COVID-19 Virus and has been sick since it was reported earlier in March. He reportedly caught the virus on an official trip to the United Kingdom and Germany.
No other official information has been provided about the cause of death or where he died. However, in a tweet, the official spokesperson of the president Garba Shehu tweeted that “he had been receiving treatment after testing positive for COVID-19 but died on Friday, April 17, 2020” also announcing that funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.
