Acclaimed hero of democracy plotting against it —Pat Utomi
Professor Pat Utomi, a chieftain of the Labour Party, says those who once acclaimed themselves as heroes of democracy may be plotting against democracy, the way things are turning out.
Pat Utomi alleged to be under siege by thugs loyal to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC said he is safe and thanks Nigerians for outpouring of prayers since the news hit town that he was under siege to swap Labour Party victory in Lagos with that of APC, or lose his life.

He said that while an Abiola called to declare that it is like June 12 all over the country, he said those who once acclaimed themselves as heroes of democracy may be plotting against democracy, the way things are turning out.
“Be assured wonderful Nigerians that I am safe. With such outpouring of love and concern my love for Nigeria is even growing in leaps and bounds.
“As we pray, one matter seems worth bringing to God’s altar. When one of the Abiola’s called me to indicate how it felt like June 12 all over, point came up that some who claimed hero status for June 12 may now be plotting same’
“Pray that God enables people to live their talk’’, he said.
