Aisha Yesufu berates Buhari over security failure after Kuje invasion
Renowned female human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu on Thursday berated President Muhammadu Buhari over security failure in the country, including the Tuesday invasion of Kuje Prisons on Tuesday by terrorists. Aisha Yesufu slammed President Buhari for his decision to appoint people who mostly share ethnicity, religion, region with him than appointing people who are competent to deliver on the job.
The female activist lamented that security is the last area the President was expected to fail in the leadership of the country.
Yesufu on her official twitter handle Aisha Yesufu @AishaYesufu wrote: “Buhari @MBuhari, you should weep & be disappointed in yourself. Even your enemies never thought you would be a pathetic failure on the issue of security. You decided to appoint mostly those you share ethnicity, religion, region with than those with competence to get the job done.”
A stakeholder in the country also protested that President Buhari ignored visiting victims of terrorists, herdsmen, bandits attacks, but was quick to visit a poorly built and equipped prison.
According to the stakeholder: PIUS DAVINCI @PIUSDAVINCI, “As the president and commander in chief @MBuhari, how many times did you visit the victims and families of those attacked by terrorists, herders/farmers clashes and bandits or even those attacked by the military? But you are visiting a poorly built and equipped prison…”
The President had lamented after visiting the Kuje prison on Wednesday: Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari “Saddened by the attack on the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kuje, I am disappointed with the intelligence system. How can terrorists organize, have weapons, attack a security installation, and get away with it? I am expecting a comprehensive report on this shocking incident.”
