APC Governors visit Buhari in Kaduna, reaffirm party’s strength
The governors reaffirmed that the APC remains Nigeria’s largest political party and will continue to grow stronger ahead of the 2027 elections.
A group of Governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the banner of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna on Monday.
The visit, which followed the celebrations of Ramadan, Lent, and Eid-el-Fitr, underscored the unity and strength of the party as it looks ahead to the 2027 election cycle.
Addressing journalists after a closed-door meeting with Buhari, Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the PGF, stated that the APC remains Nigeria’s largest political party and will continue to grow stronger in the coming years.
He emphasized that the party’s internal cohesion and leadership will play a crucial role in securing continued electoral success.
“We believe the APC will remain stable and even stronger as we approach the 2027 elections,” Uzodinma said, expressing gratitude to Buhari for his leadership, which has contributed to the party’s growth and political success.
He referred to Buhari as the “father” of the APC and credited him for creating a unified political machine that helped the party retain power.
Uzodinma also stressed the importance of internal consultations and putting the nation’s interest above individual agendas.
