Babajide Otitoju reacts to Ex-Emir of Kano’s comment that the economy is in a deep hole
Popular political and public analyst Babajide Kolade Otitoju has reacted to comments from the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido.
According to the former Emir, he said that Nigerians have handed the economy of the country to incompetent people who know nothing about leadership.
He said many Nigerians have not learnt their lessons despite how the economy of this country has been destroyed and corruption has taken over the entire government. Sanusi said some Nigerians are still willing to hand over power to another incompetent person in the 2023 election.
Sanusi Lamido rounded up by saying he is surprised that despite the suffering and insecurity in the country, a Nigerian can still stand to campaign for a political party over a competent candidate.
The Ex-Kano Emir warned all those youths supporting a candidate because of stipends that they have collected, to know that if a wrong person takes over power then it would be the beginning of suffering because Nigerians have not seen hunger yet.
Babajide Kolade stated that even an Emir of Kano has warned Nigerians and no Nigerian should say he/she was not warned.
Furthermore, he said he feels sorry for all those that will be part of the hunger if an incompetent candidate becomes the next president of Nigeria.
In conclusion, Babajide Kolade Otitoju asked the former Emir to sensitize northerners to also vote for a competent candidate, rather than voting for a candidate based on religious sentiments.
