Bafana Bafana will see a different Eagles – Ikpea
The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters’ Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea has said the Super Eagles and the NFSC are storming South Africa with different game plan and sound in the crucial Afcon qualifier.
He said the fact the S/Africa defeated Nigeria in the first leg in Uyo Nigeria is not going for revenge but to claim the maximum point in the all- important AFCON qualifiers to remain as group leader.
” Sure we lost to South Africa on our home soil in the first leg.This time around we have a more organised and youthful team that are hungry to deliver”.
In reaction to South Africa coach Stuart Baxter revenge thought and early goal threat, Ikpea said the Eagles should not be carried away with their current form.
” Our boys should fire from all angle and take every opportunities that come their way as a team. Our defence should be cautious to avoid unnecessary foul especially one that can lead to a penalty”.
Ikpea said even with the absent of inspirational captain John Mikel Obi and injury knocked inform Odion Ighalo , Baxter squad also have problem with injuries to key players such as Tokelo Rantie who scored the first goal against Nigeria.
” While South Africa are struggle to replace their players, Nigeria has perfect replacement for every player to qualify the country in the November 17th crucial game that will lead to the Nations cup in Cameroon.
