Biafra League ‘captures’ Gulf of Guinea, establishes intelligence unit to monitor vessels
A separatist group, the Biafra Nations League (BNL), operating on the coastal belt of the Atlantic, may have ‘captured’ the Gulf of Guinea and establish surveillance security structure on the waterways into the creeks. The BNL om Friday disclosed the establishment of a special intelligence unit – Red Wall of Silence – to monitor the movement of vessels and gather information on their activities in the Gulf of Guinea.
The National Leader of BNL, Princewill Richards, on Friday, revealed that the BNL on Thursday unveiled its intelligence unit in Ikang-Cameroon border area of Bakassi Peninsula, Cross River State.
Princewill Richards said that the BNL intelligence unit would be provided security equipment, which include Walkie Talkie, phones and eight-in-one emergency rescue equipment, which has many functions such as security light, to enable the team function effectively at night.
The BNL national leader warned that “no vessel will be spared if they are coming to take oil from the Peninsula and the Niger Delta area.”
Princewill Richards declared: “We have to monitor activities on our borders, on our waterways, and we are after those coming to suck us dry without us, the people, benefiting,
“BNL won’t allow that. The duty of our intelligence unit is to monitor when they sneak in, especially, at midnight.
“Our self-defense volunteers are there to intercept them
“If they are with oil equipment or coming for our oil, sorry is their name! If they are carrying arms and ammunition to supply Nigeria, sorry is their name! If it is food items, they will be pardoned.
“We will ensure they follow our rules in passing our territory.
“Our intelligent team will start functioning from now till two weeks.”
