This exchange provides our lawmakers with extremely valuable insights into the best practices being used and the innovative strategies in governance that have been developed. These insights will ultimately lead to great benefits for the people living in Ekiti State. When these legislators choose to invest their time and effort in their own growth and learning, they are also making an investment in the future of our state, ensuring that it can thrive and progress.
This is not the first trip of this kind that our legislators have taken, and I sincerely hope that it will not be the last one either. We will keep working to equip ourselves by attending local and international retreats, conferences, and other events that can help expand our knowledge and understanding. Importantly, we will seek to do this in a way that remains affordable and does not place an unnecessary financial burden on the resources of our state.
A legislative body that lacks exposure to new ideas and practices cannot achieve the kind of success we have recently enjoyed, particularly as we were recognized as the best state assembly in terms of ICT integration. This achievement is a clear indicator of the importance of ongoing education and exposure to the latest trends and innovations in governance, which ultimately reflect our commitment to improving our state for everyone.
