FCT, Lagos, Oyo, still experiencing longer hours of power outage
The Federal capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and several states across the country have continued to experience longer hours of electrocute outage since the collapse of the National Grid. The power accident which pulled several parts of the effected states not previously experiencing power outage into the dark hours is becoming difficult to resolve, causing damages, business obstructions, and wastes to millions of electricity consumers.
Several parts of Lagos were thrown into darkness after the national grid was said to have collapsed. Electricity was later restored for few hours, and the areas slumped into hours of darkness again, this time having over 36 hours of non-supply of electricity by the light merchants.
There are indications that the problem may have gone beyond the electricity merchants, forcing the DISCOs to resort to load shedding or rotation of electrify supply in various parts of the states. Why some get the supply at a moment, others had to wait for hours and sometimes, one or two days before it gets to them.
