Fuel station attendant arraigned for alleged theft of N859,600 in Ibadan
A 20-year-old fuel station attendant, Sunday Olasunkanmi, was arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Wednesday for the alleged theft of N859,600.
Olasunkanmi, who works at OBX Fueling Station located at TollGate, Ibadan, was charged with theft, to which he pleaded not guilty.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Olagoke Adegbenro, the defendant committed the offense on February 16 at approximately 8:00 p.m. at the fueling station.
Adegbenro stated that Olasunkanmi took the money, belonging to the fueling station, without authorization.
The offense contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

Magistrate Mrs. Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair granted Olasunkanmi bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in like sum.
The sureties were required to be the defendant’s biological parents and employed.
The case was adjourned until March 4 for further hearing.
