Fulani herdsmen attack Delta community

Following last Sunday’s attack by the Fulani herdsmen of a Delta state community, operatives of Delta state Police Command have arrested six suspected Fulani herdsman that attacks one of the communities.
The affected village, Emuhu, Ika South local government, in Delta state was said to have had its farmland taken over by the herdsmen.
National Daily gathered that anytime resident of the community challenge them, they would launch an attack against them.
It was further gathered that no fewer than three persons were feared killed while about seven people were seriously injured.
As a result of the clash, the communities are demanding urgent intervention by the state government to save them from frequent attack by herdsmen.
A resident who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the group of Fulani herdsman that attacked the community were well armed with sophisticated weapon.
One of the victim that sustained injury, Mr Moses Onyema, appealed to the authority to urgently do something drastic to curtail the herdsmen excesses .
