Gov. Yusuf distributes palliatives to hospital patients in Kano State
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has distributed palliatives to patients on admission in government hospitals across the state on Monday.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Director, Special Duties, Sani Abba Yola.
According to the statement, Kano’s Information Commissioner, Halilu Dantiye, revealed, “2,213 (10kg) bags of rice and 2,213 (10kg) sacks of maize were distributed to patients admitted in General and Cottage Hospitals, Pediatric and Specialist Hospitals across the state.”
Dantiye, who oversaw the distribution on the governor’s behalf, explained that the initiative is aimed at providing essential support to those in need during these difficult times.
He emphasized the governor’s commitment to the well-being of all citizens, prioritizing “initiatives that directly impact the lives of people in the state, particularly those with health challenges.”

Expressing joy at the patients’ positive response, the commissioner reiterated the government’s dedication to supporting vulnerable groups, especially during illness.
“We are dedicated to providing assistance wherever it is needed most,” Dantiye said.
“Our efforts today represent a collective commitment to standing behind our fellow citizens in support during their times of need.
“By providing essential food items to hospital patients, we aim to alleviate some of the burdens they face and offer them a measure of comfort,” he concluded.
