Hackers invade Sen. Adeola’s Twitter account
Some persons identified as impostors and fraudsters were indicated to have hacked the dormant twitter account of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), representing Lagos West in the National Assembly, and Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance.
The Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, known as YAYI, Chief Kayode Odunaro, in a statement disclosed that the fraudsters hacked the dormant verified twitter account of the senator, and began to advertise products to the people of Lagos State and across the world.
The Media Adviser said that the office has reported the hacking to the security agencies for urgent action, cautioning the public to be wary of fraudsters and impostors using dormant twitter account of Yayi for selfish interest and to defraud people.
Kayode Odunaro stated that since the ban on Twitter by the Federal Government, the Twitter account of the Senator @YAYIAdeola has been dormant in compliance with the ban placed on Twitter.
“And, as a high-ranking lawmaker and law-abiding citizen, the Senator will not engage in any activity disrespectful of lawful directives pursuant to the national interest.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the general public should note that the Senator is not engaged in or in partnership with any organization including Playstation, purportedly offering to “sell thousands of Ps5s to the people of Lagos and the Rest of the world” according to the marketing messages of the hackers.
The Media Adviser urged the public to note that the offer for sale is a fraudulent act, and a gimmick from some criminal elements to defraud unsuspecting followers of the distinguished Senator; telling people to disregard the offer put up for sale.
