I’m happy to join Super Falcon –Ibom Angels Ogbonna

Ibom Angel defender Glory Ogbonna makes the final Super Falcons list to Ghana for the African Women Cup of Nations.
Glory Ogbonna who had a fantastic season with the club being the captain ensured the team played their first 6 matches unbeaten as she marshalled things in the defence.
National Daily learnt that her exploits didn’t go unnoticed as she was invited by Falcons coach Thomas Dernneby for the WAFU Cup where she dazzled and won the man of the match award against Senegal and bronze with the Falcons.
That ensured she got an invite to play against France in a friendly. Her consistency was key in her call up for the U20 Women World Cup in France.
” I’m very happy for what the Lord has done for me to be among the players that will be going to Ghana for the African Women Cup of Nations.
Yes it’s going to be my first edition and I will take the opportunity with all seriousness and give my best. I’m a very happy person today because it’s a credit to my career and a stepping stone to greater heights.”
The Super Falcons defender told National Daily that its a dream come true and she wants to be among those that will make history with team.
” I want to use this opportunity to thank my Coach, Whyte Ogbonda the staff and management of Ibom Angels for the opportunity given to me to show the stuff I’m made of on the field of play and I promise not to let them down.”
The Super Falcons will play their first match on the 18th of November against the Bayana Bayana of South Africa.
The African Women Cup of Nations will commence on the 17th of November and end on the 1st of December 2018.
