INEC reveals 32,972 PVCs not collected in Bauchi
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that 32,972 uncollected permanent voter cards (PVCs) are still in the store in Bauchi State.
Bauchi State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Ibrahim Abdullahi, revealed the thousands of uncollected PVCs at a meeting with stakeholders on the level of preparedness on the conduct of the 2019 general elections.
According to the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bauchi State, Ibrahim Abdullahi, preparations towards the 2019 elections are on top gear.
The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Ali Janga, also assured citizens of security agencies’ readiness.
Some participants at the meeting appealed to security agencies to be neutral.
The meeting had in attendance security chiefs, leaders of political parties, European Union election observers and civil society organizations from across Bauchi State.
