Jihadists on Saturday overwhelmed the military junta, killing about three soldiers, including eight civilian auxiliaries in an ambush in northern Burkina Faso.
The soldiers were said to be on patrol with the auxiliaries, when they were attacked in an ambush by the jihadists in the district of Bouroum. The attack was said to have occurred near Silmangue, in Namentenga province.
