Kidnapped couple: Police nabs suspected 2-man gang

The Operatives of zone 5 police headquarters Benin City, have confirmed the arrest of one Emmanuel Ogbeni, 28 and Osimi Enakhirua 30, who were said to have allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a couple Blessing Ejovwokeoghere Dukuye and his wife, joy Ese Dukuye when they were said to have been returning from new year church service.
It was gathered from a police statement that the suspects had allegedly laid siege on the couple having left the church service at about 0045hrs along DSC round- about, Effurun Warri, Delta State.
The arm-bandit according to the Zone 5 image maker, DSP Emeka Iheanacho were arrested at their respective hide out along Alaka Area and PTI road in Effurun Metropolis upon credible and discreet investigation carried out by the men in uniform.
According to the information further made available to our correspondent it was revealed that several illegal items ranges from Lar Rifle, AK 47 Rifle, pump action, Brownie Pistol, Live ammunition, Live Cartridges, cash of one million, eighty eight thousand naira, charms, army camouflage T-shirt and Dynamite were recovered from the suspects.
The suspects has since made useful information to the police according to investigation ongoing; as the police Boss revealed that the suspects will soon be charged to court for onward prosecution.
