Lagos Police launch investigation into fresh suspected cult killings in Ajah, others
The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into two separate incidents of suspected cult-related killings reported in parts of the state, including Sangotedo, Ajah, and Ikotun.
According to preliminary information from police authorities, the incidents led to the deaths of two individuals under circumstances suspected to be linked to cult violence. Security operatives have since begun gathering intelligence and reviewing reports from the affected communities to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the killings.
Police sources say officers were deployed to the locations following distress calls from residents, with efforts currently underway to identify those responsible and prevent further escalation of violence in the affected areas.
The Lagos State Police Command has assured residents of its commitment to maintaining public safety and strengthening surveillance in known flashpoints across the state. It also urged members of the public to remain calm and provide credible information that could assist ongoing investigations.
Cult-related violence has remained a recurring security concern in parts of Lagos, with authorities periodically carrying out raids, arrests, and community patrols aimed at curbing rival group clashes and related criminal activities.
Investigations into the latest incidents are ongoing, and police say further updates will be provided as more details become available.
