Matic targeted by Juventus as Conte plans Chelsea clearout
Nemanja Matic is set to leave Chelsea for Juventus in a £20 million deal as incoming manager Antonio Conte prepares to revolutionise his squad, reports the Express.
The Serbian was a pillar of the Blues side that won the Premier League title last season but has been deemed surplus to requirements at the club since Guus Hiddink replaced Jose Mourinho in the Stamford Bridge dugout.
Five consecutive Serie A champions Juventus have been linked with a cut-price move for the Serbian hardman, while public target Oscar could also be brought to Turin as Conte plans a cull.
Key players such as Thibaut Courtois – who has fallen out with Chelsea’s goalkeeping coachChristophe Lollichon – are also not safe from the chop, but his £73m asking price could put suitors off.
The futures of John Terry, Radamel Falcao, Loic Remy, John Obi Mikel and Alexandre Pato in London also remain in question.
