Miyetti Allah demands investigation of Ortom for criminal profiling of herders
The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, on Monday demanded security agencies to investigate Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State for continued criminal profiling of its members (herders) in Benue State.
The National Secretary of the Miyetti Allah Kautal, Saleh Alhassan, after an expanded NEC meeting in Abuja on Monday, declared that its members are not responsible for the insecurity in the country as being speculated in certain quarters. He berated the Benue governor for constant assault on herdsmen.
The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore NEC, among other resolutions, directed its Political Awareness and Mobilisation Directorate to commence massive enlightenment of its members on voter education and participation in preparation for the 2023 general elections.
