Mohammed Fawehinmi is dead
The eldest son of the late legal icon Gani Fawhinmi id dead.
Mohammed died at the age of 52.
According to a family source, he died at the late hours of Wednesday at a hospital yet-to-be-announced.
He complained of difficulty in breathing this morning and was taken to the hospital and that was all.
This has fuelled speculations it might have been covid-19 complications.
The family has not spoken officially about it.
Junior Labour Minister Festus Keyamo confirmed the death of his former boss’ son.
“Mohammed was energetic and very intellectually alert, despite his mishap. He kept the flame of his father burning. We will sorely miss him,” the senior lawyer who worked in Gani Fawehinmi Chamber said
Mohammed was a graduate of Business Administration of the University of Lagos in 1991 after which he went to London to study law.
He was called to bar in 1998.
